This is the Tiger 2 Ausf B/Königstiger/Sd.Kfz 182
This tiger 2 in particular is the one from musée des blindés de saumur in france
This picture is taken on militracks 2018 by me
The 8,8 cm kwk 43 was one of the best anti tank canon's at the time with 86 rounds
The penetration value's are as follows: for the PzGr 39/43 (APCBC) at 100m it can penetrate 202mm At 500m it can penetrate 185mm at 1000m it can penetrate 165mm at 1500m it can penetrate 148mm at 2000m it can penetrate 132mm
and with the PzGr 40/43 (APCR) it follow's like this at 100m it can penetrate 238mm
at 500m it can penetrate 217mm at 1000m it can penetrate 193mm at 1500m it can penetrate 171mm at 2000m it can penetrate 153mm
More than 2000 meter's shot is not a very common thing to see on the battle field it is possible but not a very common thing to see.
HlGr 39 (HEAT) is as follows 90mm for all distances
SprGr 43 (HE) doesnt penetrate just explodes (used for example for destroying enemy bunkers/fortified positions
It also had 2 mg 34 mg's or sometimes 3 one in the front of the hull one as coaxial and one on the commander's hatch
The engine of the tiger 2 was the same as the late war tiger 1 engine called the Maybach HL 230 V12 gasoline engine with 690HP on the early engines on the later upgraded engines it was 1100-1200HP with the supercharged option without it about 800-900HP
The transmission was a Maybach (OLVAR EG 40 12 16 B) 8 forward gears and 4 reverse
The tiger 2 also had neutral steering
It also had torsion bar suspension witch makes for a softer ride and more stable ride
The turret it was changed form the pre production to the regular production removing the potential shot trap one about 50-70 pre production turrets where made and fitted common misunderstanding is the the early turrets are Porsche turrets but all the tiger 2 turrets where made by Krupp and hull's where designed by Henschel and Porsche and Porsche's one was rejected
Armor thickness is as follows frontal top plate 150mm at 40º lower frontal plate 100mm at 40º turret's frontal plate 180mm at 80º roof and front under side on the hull is 40mm at 0º back under plate is 25mm at 0º the back of the hull and on the back of the turret 80mm at 70º on the commanders coupolar is 150mm at 90º on the lower side plate 80mm at 0º on the upper side plate 80mm 65º and on the turrets side its also 80mm but at an angle of 70º
The measurements 3,755 m from side to side length 7.38 m (hull only) 10.286m (with gun) height 3.09 m (depends on mg on the commander's coupolar)
Mass/weight 69.8 tonnes (may vary with add on armor like spare track's
Speed maximum speed (can cause damage to the engine) 41,5 km/h sustainable engine load 38km/h (both on road) cross country (off road) from 25 km/h to 15 km/h in lots mud
The surviving one's are the ones at Musée des Blindés de Saumur france(only running one as of now), Tiger II at La Gleize Belgium, Tiger II located at the Patton Museum of Cavalry and Armor US and last Deutsches Panzermuseum
